Long Day's Journey into Night by Eugene O'Neill
As part of our learning, we performed a selected scene from Long Day's Journey into Night. I contributed by writing the script for one act, directing the performance, and assisting with minor videography. This experience helped me understand the play more deeply by translating it from text into performance.
Final Solutions by Mahesh Dattani
My engagement with Final Solutions extended beyond academic study into a meaningful theatre experience. As part of this activity, I chose to work backstage, contributing to recording, lighting, music cues, and prop management. This role helped me understand how subtle elements like timing, space, and objects shape the emotional depth of a performance. Being involved in rehearsals and coordination allowed me to witness the transformation of the play from text to lived experience, highlighting the importance of collaboration and empathy in theatre.
