Frequently Asked Questions
We believe that everyone should have a mix of both traditional and modern/new view. This simply means that people should keep an open mind about the future, but also respect the values (that make us better people) that are taught by our elders and the past. For this platform, we wanted to follow suit with the name. "Smriti" in Buddhist terms, means "mindfulness", while "Solidarity" means "togetherness".
Is Smriti and Solidarity associated with any psychiatric services?
Smriti and Solidarity is not associated with any psychiatric services. We believe that not everybody needs or even wants to get therapy, which is a valid choice. Instead, they may just need someone to listen to them and offer a supportive shoulder, and that is the main goal of this website.
