The City Government of Alaminos is headed by City Mayor Arth Bryan C. Celeste and assisted by City Vice Mayor Jan Marionne R. Fontelera together with the 12 City Councilors and employees composed of 400 permanent, 14 co-terminus, 94 contractual, 33 Contract of Service (COS) workers and 624 Job Order (JO) workers.

Arth Bryan C. Celeste is the mayor of Alaminos City. He was elected as the Mayor of Alaminos City in the 2019 general council elections and took office in July 2019. He is the current head of the local government and is tasked with administering and managing the affairs of Alaminos City.

There are some restrictions that are imposed on tourists visiting Alaminos City, primarily for their own safety and the safety of others. These restrictions generally include:
