As part of a NSF funded project, I am currently measuring the volatile content, thermal history, and viscosity of natural rhyolite glasses, in order to better understand how these lavas advance.

Physical properties and thermodynamics
I am also interested in the nature of heat transfer through materials, and the use of thermodynamics to model these properties.
