In 2003, Lorna studied with the Iyengars in Pune, India, in 2005 she attended the Iyengar section of the Yoga Journal Conference in Colorado where BKS Iyengar taught, spoke and presented, and also attended the 2007 National Iyengar Conference studying with Geeta Iyengar. Lorna has continued to attend the Iyengar National Yoga Conferences held every three years and to pursue her education through workshops and seminars with some of the world's most senior level yoga teachers.  Lorna's dedication to the Iyengar Yoga system is reflected in her own yoga practice and her tangible and inspirational teaching style.

"Lorna has a good eye, and knows how to adapt postures to the individual needs of her students. Her calm and steady nature gives students confidence to approach and receive new material."

Lisa Walford,  Senior Certified Iyengar Teacher

In addition to teaching yoga Lorna has been a massage therapist since 1989. Her knowledge of and experience in bodywork enhances her ability to "see" the body and its imbalances. She guides and challenges each student in working towards his/her alignment of inner and outer balance. As a massage therapist and yoga teacher, Lorna has found these same restorative poses to be effective during a massage. In fact, she often sets her clients up in these supported positions, because they increase the effectiveness of the massage.
