Our History:
Smith Valley Meats was established by Dale and Brenda Smith in 1975. Dale began working in a local grocery store's meat department in 1963 and then soon decided to open his own slaughter and meatpacking facility a few years later. Their son, Jeffery Smith, is now the current owner of the establishment.
Our Herd:
All of our cattle and hogs are raised on our farm or purchased from other local farmers. We believe that it is of upmost importance to support other local farmers and businesses. Our cattle are grass and grain fed, meaning what nutrients the cow does not receive from eating the grass, they are given in the grain.
