Our four-year-old curriculum continues the play-based philosophy of learning. It builds on the three-year-old program's foundational concepts and skills, while preparing children to spread their wings and continue on to kindergarten. The children enjoy broader social relationships and discover the enjoyment of friendships. The four-year-old program expands on emotional awareness, self-expression and social development. Through structured child-centered play, routines and group dynamics, children will gain an increased independence while advancing their listening skills, directional development and self-regulation.
Academically, the fours program will develop math concepts, representation, number sense, sequencing, and exploring and recognizing patterns. The children will strengthen and develop their early literacy skills, alphabet recognition, phonetic development, print awareness and word association. Early literacy exploration offers great opportunities to expand language development and build vocabulary. Children engage in various art activities and discover throughout science exploration and play. Most importantly, we foster self-confidence, creativity, and a positive attitude towards school that will carry our four-year olds beyond our doors.
