Smith PTO proudly supports the Smith teachers, students and faculty all year long! We provide snacks and small gifts for our teachers and staff and are working to create fun and safe spaces and events for our students! All of this can only be made possible with the help from our PTO volunteers! We would love to have ALL of our parents join the Smith PTO.
By joining our PTO you will be in the Shark Tank which will give you premier access to events and volunteer opportunities on campus! Smith PTO is considered an essential school function so we are able to be on campus this school year. Masks are highly recommended by the campus.
100% of the membership dues paid by parents are used to support programs and resources for ALL of our Smith Intermediate students and teachers.
With you your continued support, PTO is able to:
Open the Shark Store every Friday for Students to visit
Offer School Supply Packs at the beginning of each year
Provide Spirit Wear opportunities
Organized Chalk the Walk for back to school
Restock the Teachers Lounge with snacks periodically
Provide volunteers for on campus events
Organize Teacher Appreciation Week
Provide Appreciation baskets for community heroes
Host School Spirit Nights
Celebrate Appreciation Days for our Principal, Assistant Principals, Nurses, Admins, Support Staff
Support Teachers and Staff by sharing their Wish Lists

New to volunteering within Forney ISD? Our volunteers are required to complete background check via the VOMO app before joining us on campus.
BY LAWS
The Smith Intermediate PTO is a 501(c)(3) that provides program services & grants to Smith Intermediate. Our organization raises funds in order to provide additional curriculum enrichment, through the purchase of supplies and monetary support of student and teacher programs.
