This post-AP exam unit will serve as a mathematical preparation for the AP Physics 1 students' next logical steps: AP Physics C or AP Chemistry. Both of these higher level courses include some of the more basic concepts from calulus. During the last three weeks of school, we will cover how to take simple derivatives, integrals, and how to do u-substitution. Hopefully, this introductory bit of mathematics will help support all students in their next school year.
Calculus notes and homework are taken from Calculus by James Stewart 5th ed (the calc book that includes multi-variable stuff). AP Physics C notes are taken from Physics For Scientists and Engineers: A Strategic Approach by Randall Kight.Â
