Prof. Tiago H. Falk is a Full Professor at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Centre on Energy, Materials, and Telecommunications (INRS-EMT), University of Québec, where he directs the Multisensory/multimodal Signal Analysis and Enhancement Lab focused on building next-generation human-machine interfaces. He is a regular member of the INRS-UQO Mixed Research Unit in Cybersecurity, where research is being conducted to make human-machine interfaces secure and reliable by tackling emerging vulnerabilities to artificial intelligence algorithms.
Prof. Anderson Ávila is an Assistant Professor at INRS-EMT, working in the INRS-UQO Mixed Research Unit in Cybersecurity. Prior to joining INRS-UQO, Dr. Avila was a researcher scientist in natural language and speech processing, working on projects related to model compression, low-latency and robustness of spoken language understanding. His main research interests are in data privacy via federated learning, combating misinformation using AI, and robustness of biometrics.
Prof. Alessandro Lameiras Koerich is a Full Professor with the Department of Software and IT Engineering, École de Technologie Supérieure, University of Québec, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Koerich is also co-founder of InviSys Machine Vision LLC., an R&D company that develops products based on machine learning and computer vision systems for retail and industrial applications. His current research interests include robust and secure machine learning models for video and audio applications.
