We had a successful turnout at the 2025 SMB Annual meeting for the CARD subgroup! We had five minisymposia, one plenary lecture, and a productive business meeting regarding the future of the subgroup. You can see some of the photos from the conference here.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Laura Ellwein Fix, an Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Undergraduate Studies in Mathematics at Virgina Commonwealth University, as the SMB CVM treasurer. Dr. Ellwein-Fix brings expertise in mathematical modeling of the respiratory and cerebrovascular systems, and has interacted in SMB for several years. Welcome to the team, Laura!

We successfully hosted two minisymposia (and two speakers outside the CVM minisymposia) at the 2024 SMB annual meeting in Seoul, South Korea. Our session title, "Data-driven modelling across the cardiovascular system," included 8 speakers. We are very thankful Brian Carlson and Aaron Fogelson were willing to serve as session chairs! Below are the talks presented.
