SFCL Introductory Session
Come and join us this Wednesday to know more about SFCL; what we do, our vision and goals through our special introductory session at 7:30 pm with Dr. Samah El Khateeb; SFCL Principal Investigator.
Smart & future cities laboratory for sustainable urban solutions (SFCL) is a research laboratory funded by STIFA under the capacity-building grants.
The laboratory will be a research center where four different research hubs and units will be established. The four research hubs are digital fabrication, virtual reality, the Internet of things in architecture and urban design, and environmental studies and simulation. The session will introduce the SFCL mission, vision, timeline, and future steps.

Rain Africa Event
The project PI; Dr Samah El khteeb was invited to talk about the smart & future cities laboratory & the future of smart cities in Africa in the panel discussion ( RAIN-Africa Workshop: Responsible AI and the Development of Smart Cities/Energy Systems in Africa ) organized by Responsible AI Network - Africa (RAIN - Africa). It will take place virtually on 19/5/2021.

Rise Africa Event
The SFCL Win to present a session in the 1st ever RISE Africa Action Festival in May 2021, the session title is “Urban AI: Inspiring Action for Just Cities”. We applied for this virtual session and we have been notified that our proposal was selected, and we won preforming the session. The SFCL will organize it with cooperation with the Cairo Charter.
