All participating students wearing appropriate clothes for painting and having all painting equipment arrived at the place early in the morning of Wednesday 12^th of Dec. (Students had no school on that day)

They first removed all items from the room and taped off areas such as window casings and sockets. They put down drop cloths to avoid accidental spills and gathered their material in one place.

Two of their teachers were also there and guided them on applying painting techniques they had been taught.
