Q. What are your hours and schedules?

Regular working hours are from 9 a.m - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Post 3 p.m. we have or After School Programs that are hands-on S.T.E.A.M. learning sessions.

Q. What is the general opinion of SmartStation?

We have mentored over 1000 children globally in past 2 years. We have redesigned/ curated more than 200 hands-on STEAM activities/ experiments. We have received valuable feedbacks from parents ranging from good to excellent. We had a high renewal rate of 94% in our After School Programs.

Q. At what age SmartStation accept students?

We welcome children from 2.5 years to 5 years in our Virtual S.T.E.A.M. school. The After School Programs has sessions based on age groups 3-5 years, 6-8 years and 8-12 year olds.

Q. Why should my child learn/ follow S.T.E.A.M.?

The most sought after subject in all developed countries combines Science, Art and Math using Technology to Engineer something new. Globally proven to enhance creativity and scientific thinking in children through experimental science, critical thinking, higher order thinking skills (H.O.T.S). Children with S.T.E.A.M. skills have 2X chances of success.

Q. What is the Curriculum followed at SmartStation?

SmartStation follows best of established educational principles. SmartStation School has an added advantage of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 implemented already. Our Flexible Curriculum has been designed post graduates with Masters in Academics and Certified Reflective Teacher from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Our curriculum provides a nurturing program that unfolds the authentic spirit and character of each child while educating their hearts and minds. Our teachers seek to instill a deep and lasting academic excellence, one that prepares children to learn confidently for the rest of their lives and to give generously and joyfully to others.

Our curriculum focuses on activity- based settings to educate students for academic excellence and personal integrity in a diverse community that emphasises responsibility, stimulates collaboration and promotes mutual respect. Our Students learn to have confidence, independence, high-self esteem and develop a joy of learning. We follow Creative Curriculum (thematic) alongwith the hands-on S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).

Q. What are the qualifications of the Teachers?

All our Teachers are Post Graduates from renowned Institutes/ Universities and are seasoned to teach children virtually. Above all, SmartStation seek teachers with experience and passion to be in this field. On-ongoing basis our teachers closely work with the Curriculum head to develop innovative/ customised/ need based lesson plans for our children. SmartStation School also provides continuing in-service training and encourages our teachers to attend conferences and workshops to bring back the latest in concepts, methods, and materials. Our teachers have the energy, intellect and charisma that take children on a magical and challenging voyage of discovery. Our teachers are well-educated and nurturing people who respect children's need for mental security while encouraging autonomy.

Q. What is the Teacher Student Ratio?

SmartStation has the Teacher Student Ratio as 1:7.

Q. How are parents involved in SmartStation School?

A high level of parental involvement is encouraged at SmartStation as we follow the Parent Co-op model of Teaching and learning. We seek assistance/ supervision of the care giver/ parent during the schooling session.

Q. What is the assessment methodology of SmartStation?

SmartStation does not believe in competitive assessment. The fact that every child is unique and has an infinite potential makes it irrelevant to gauge them through a common scale/parameter. At SmartStation our Teacher endeavours to help each and every child unlock this special infinite potential. This is attained by observation based, continuous and cumulative process through which students are not scrutinised but allowed to express themselves freely.

Q. What is the medium of instruction in the school?

The medium of instruction in the school is English.

Q. How do I register my child for the program?

Q. Can I cancel/ reschedule the class for my child?

While we do ask our students attend the class regularly and avoid missing any so as to not break the flow of their learning, we do understand that sometimes this may not be possible due to family emergencies, health issues and other factors.

We shall re-do the missed class with the student, however the same teacher and same time cannot be committed.

Q. When are the PTMs (Parent Teacher Meetings) held?

SmartStation follows Parent Co-op model of teaching and hence there is nearly everyday interaction between the parent/ caregiver with the teacher. However if the Parent wants to exclusively interact with the Teacher, they can mention their preferred time slot and day. We shall try to accomodate the same within the schedule for the Teacher.

Q. When will my child receive the Report Card/ Course Completion Certificate?

A child's progress update is the most important process for the education journey of any student. We issue the Course Completion Certificates within a week of completion of the Term.

Q. Is there a Parent Orientation Programe?

Yes, SmartStation has a parent orientation session which is virtual at a time mutually convenient to the parent and the our Founder. These Parent orientation sessions are via Google Meet/ Zoom. They can be scheduled between 12 p.m - 8 p.m. all days a week.

Q. What is the Refund Policy?

When the parent wishes to cancel the subscription, they may send an email for a request for cancellation to smartstationkids@gmail.com. We shall immediately investigate the concerns and try our level best to mediate before we issue a refund for the payment made on a pro-rata basis.

Our entire effort would be to satisfy the parent and provide the best possible education to our children, but in case we are not able to meet your expectations, we shall process the refund within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the formal request.
