a student-run project

Approximately 1/3 of CA residents have been reported to not take proactive steps towards preparing for extreme natural disasters. At SmartPrepping, we ease the minds of Californian residents and provide disaster preparedness education to underserved communities in disaster-prone neighborhoods. We further study how natural disasters impact children with disabilities and under-resourced youth, along with the effects of parental emotional masking towards children's emotional development. When relocation is necessary, families have the necessities to evacuate towards safety without unnecessary anxieties. Our website is constructed of online resources families can look through to find nearby natural disasters and any organizations they can further count on.
