SLAB MATERIAL CALCULATOR
"Efficient Slab Material Calculator based on practical site knowledge: Simplify Your Construction Planning"
To use the "Slab Material Calculator" :-
Enter the required information in the input fields and select the appropriate units from the dropdown menus. The input fields are as follows:
"Slab Area": Enter the area of the slab (e.g., 100).
"Area Unit": Choose the unit of the slab area (e.g., SQ.FT or SQ.M).
"Slab Thickness": Enter the thickness of the slab (e.g., 6).
"Thickness Unit": Choose the unit of the slab thickness (e.g., Inch, Feet, Meter, or Millimeter).
"Slab Material Ratio (Cement : Sand : Stone)": Select the desired ratio from the dropdown list.
After entering the required information, click the "Calculate" button. The calculator will perform the necessary calculations based on your input.
The calculated results will be displayed below the input fields. You will see the following information:
Cement in kg
Cement in Bags
Sand in CFT (Cubic Feet)
Stone in CFT (Cubic Feet)
Steel in kg
If you want to reset the calculator and start over, click the "Reset" button. This will clear all the input fields and results.
If you want to copy the calculated results, you can click the "Copy Result" button. This will copy the results to your clipboard, and a confirmation message will be briefly displayed.
Remember to input the correct values and units to get accurate results. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, feel free to ask for assistance!
Let's walk through an example of using the "SLAB MATERIAL CALCULATOR" to calculate the material requirements for a concrete slab:
Input: Suppose we want to calculate the material requirements for a concrete slab with the following dimensions:
Slab Area: 100 square meters
Slab Thickness: 6 inches
Slab Material Ratio: 1 : 2 : 4 (M15)
Step 1: Enter the inputs:
Slab Area: 100
Select "SQ.M" from the area unit dropdown.
Slab Thickness: 6
Select "Inch" from the thickness unit dropdown.
Select "1:2:4 M15" from the slab material ratio dropdown.
Step 2: Click the "Calculate" button.
Result: The calculated material requirements will be displayed:
Cement in kg: 1379.31 kg
Cement in Bags: 27.59 bags
Sand in CFT (Cubic Feet): 101.28 CFT
Stone in CFT (Cubic Feet): 202.55 CFT
Steel in kg: 438 kg
Step 3: You can copy the result by clicking the "Copy Result" button.
Step 4: To calculate for a different slab, click the "Reset" button, and it will clear the inputs and results. Then, you can enter the new slab dimensions and calculate again.
Please note that the calculator performs the background calculations in square feet and inches. However, the displayed user inputs and results will match the selected units (e.g., if you select square meters, it will show square meters in the result).
Background Calculation:
The calculator uses the following formulas for the material calculations:
Cement Requirement (in kg) = (Area × Thickness × 1.54 ÷ Total Ratio) ÷ 1.226 × 50
Cement Requirement (in bags) = (Area × Thickness × 1.54 ÷ Total Ratio) ÷ 1.226
Sand Requirement (in Cubic Feet) = (Area × Thickness × 1.54 × Sand Ratio ÷ Total Ratio) ÷ 12 × 1.6
Stone Requirement (in Cubic Feet) = (Area × Thickness × 1.54 × Stone Ratio ÷ Total Ratio)
Steel Requirement (in kg) = Area × 0.73
