Recording

How do I start a recording?

Tap the large record button on the home screen. The app will begin capturing audio immediately. You can continue using other apps while recording in the background.

What audio quality does the app record in?

The app records in high-quality AAC format optimized for voice clarity while maintaining reasonable file sizes.

Can I record in the background?

Yes. Once you start a recording, you can switch to other apps or lock your phone. The recording will continue until you return to the app and tap stop.

Is there a maximum recording length?

There is no hard limit on recording length. However, very long recordings (over 2 hours) may take longer to process for transcription and summarization.

Why does the app need microphone access?

Microphone access is required to capture audio during recordings. Without this permission, the app cannot record meetings, lectures, or voice memos.


Transcription

How does transcription work?

The app uses on-device speech recognition to convert your spoken words into text in real-time. This means your audio is processed locally on your device for privacy.

Which languages are supported for transcription?

The app supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and more. You can change the recording language in Settings.

Why is my transcription inaccurate?

Can I edit the transcription?

The transcription is generated automatically and displayed in the recording details. You can copy the text and edit it in any text editor.


AI Summaries

How do AI summaries work?

After a recording is complete, the app analyzes the transcribed text using artificial intelligence to generate a concise summary highlighting key points, action items, and important details.

Yes. If you are not satisfied with a summary, tap the Regenerate button to create a new one.


Calendar Integration

Why does the app need calendar access?

Calendar access allows the app to automatically suggest meeting names based on your current or upcoming calendar events. This makes organizing recordings faster and more convenient.

Is calendar access required?

No. Calendar access is optional. You can manually name your recordings if you prefer not to grant calendar permission.

Storage and Data

Where are my recordings stored?

All recordings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any server unless you explicitly share or export them.

How do I delete a recording?

Swipe left on any recording in the list and tap Delete, or open the recording details and use the delete option.

How much storage do recordings use?

Storage depends on recording length. On average, one hour of audio uses approximately 30-50 MB of storage.

Can I export my recordings?

Yes. Open any recording and tap the Share button. You can export as a text file or share directly via email, messaging apps, and other services.


Voice Journal

What is Voice Journal?

Voice Journal is a dedicated feature for personal voice journaling. Record your thoughts, ideas, and daily reflections with optional mood tracking.

Are journal entries separate from recordings?

Yes. Voice journal entries are stored separately and appear in the Voice Journal section of the app.
