• Retention: Recordings remain on your device until you manually delete them from within the app

2. Transcription Data

• What we collect: Text transcriptions of your audio recordings generated by Apple's on-device speech recognition

• How we use it: Transcriptions are displayed in the app for you to review, edit, and share

• Storage: Transcriptions are stored locally on your device

• Processing: Speech recognition is performed on-device using Apple's built-in speech recognition technology. No audio is sent to our servers for transcription

3. AI-Generated Summaries

• What we collect: When you request AI features (summaries, key notes, email drafts, etc.), the text transcript is processed

• How we use it: Transcript text is sent to our AI service provider (OpenRouter/Mistral AI) to generate summaries and other AI-powered content

• Data shared: Only the text transcript is sent—never the original audio file

• Retention: AI providers may temporarily process data but do not retain it for training purposes

4. Calendar Data (Read-Only)

• What we collect: We read your calendar event titles and times (with your permission)

• How we use it: To automatically suggest meeting names when you start a recording

• Storage: Calendar data is accessed in real-time and is not stored by our app

• We do not: Modify, create, or delete any calendar events

5. Subscription Information

• What we collect: Anonymous purchase receipts and subscription status

• How we use it: To verify your subscription and provide premium features

• Third-party: Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat

• Data shared: Anonymous app user identifiers and purchase receipts

Device Permissions

• Microphone Access: To record audio for transcription and note-taking

• Speech Recognition: To convert your spoken words into text in real-time

Optional Permissions

• Calendar Access: To suggest meeting names based on your schedule (you can deny this permission and manually name recordings)

How We Use Permissions

• Microphone data is only used for recording audio that you initiate

• Speech recognition is performed on-device by Apple's technology

• Calendar data is only read to suggest recording titles—we never modify your calendar

• All permissions can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings

Third-Party Services

OpenRouter / Mistral AI (AI Processing)

• Purpose: Generate summaries, key notes, email drafts, and other AI-powered content

• Data Shared: Text transcripts only (not audio files)

• Purpose: On-device speech recognition and system integrations

• Data Shared: Speech recognition is processed on-device; no data is sent to Apple for this feature

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All audio recordings are stored locally on your device

• Transcriptions and notes are stored locally on your device

• Local data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)

• You can delete all local data at any time by deleting recordings within the app or uninstalling the app

Data Transmission

• When using AI features, transcript text is transmitted securely using HTTPS/TLS encryption

• We do not transmit audio files to any external servers

• No personal information is transmitted without your explicit action (e.g., requesting an AI summary)

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information

• We do not collect your location data

• We do not collect device identifiers for advertising

• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs

• We do not sell your data to third parties

Data Retention and Deletion

• Audio recordings: Stored on your device until you delete them

• Transcriptions: Stored on your device until you delete the associated recording

• AI-generated content: Stored on your device until you delete the associated recording

• Subscription data: Managed by RevenueCat according to their retention policy

How to Delete Your Data

1. Delete individual recordings: Swipe left on any recording in the app and tap "Delete"

2. Delete all data: Uninstall the app from your device—this removes all locally stored data

3. Subscription data: Contact us at argonpatel834@gmail.com to request deletion of any subscription-related data

Your Rights and Choices

Data Control

• Access: View all your recordings and transcriptions within the app

• Delete: Remove any recording and its associated data at any time

• Export: Share or export your transcriptions and summaries

• Permissions: Revoke any permission at any time in your device's Settings

Opt-Out Options

• You can use the app without AI features (recordings and on-device transcription work offline)

• You can deny calendar access and manually name your recordings

• You can delete the app at any time to remove all local data

Children's Privacy

Smart AI Voice Recorder & Note is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. International Data Transfers

When you use AI features, your transcript text may be processed by servers located in the United States or other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including encryption during transmission.
