Smart Scanner requests only the necessary permissions:

Camera Permission

• Used exclusively for scanning barcodes and QR codes

• No images or data are recorded or transmitted externally

Notification Permission

• Used to send reminders configured by you (e.g., expiry dates, restock alerts)

• Notifications are generated locally on your device

5. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally:

• Your data security depends on your device’s built-in protection mechanisms

• We do not have access to your stored data

• We do not maintain remote backups

Important:
Uninstalling the app or clearing app data will permanently delete all stored information.

6. Third-Party Services

Smart Scanner does not integrate with third-party services, analytics tools, or advertising networks.

Smart Scanner does not knowingly collect or store data from children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected externally, the app is generally safe for all age groups.
