The IoT-Green workshop invites researchers and industry experts to explore the role of IoT technologies in fostering sustainable urban environments. As cities grow, the need for efficient resource management and eco-friendly practices becomes essential. This workshop focuses on how IoT can support urban sustainability initiatives, such as air quality monitoring, waste management, energy conservation, and resource optimization. In this workshop we aim to discuss cutting-edge IoT solutions that can help cities meet environmental goals, reduce ecological footprints, and improve citizens’ quality of life.
The IoT-Green workshop aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners designing and deploying systems that apply IoT technologies in fostering sustainable urban environments. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Air Quality Monitoring - IoT for real-time tracking and pollution control.
Smart Waste Management - Optimizing waste collection and recycling.
Energy Conservation - IoT in smart grids and energy optimization.
Water Management - Monitoring and conserving urban water resources.
Climate Resilience - IoT for extreme weather and heat island management.
Sustainable Mobility - Emission reduction and smart urban transport.
Citizen Engagement - Platforms for eco-friendly resident behaviors.
Data Analytics - Machine learning for resource efficiency in cities.
IoT Security Frameworks - Strategies for safeguarding IoT ecosystems against cyber threats, including authentication, encryption, and secure data protocols.
Challenges in IoT Sustainability - Security, scalability, and ethics.
Case Studies - Real-world applications and best practices.
