I am currently only accepting PhD students to work with me in the area of harmonic analysis on symmetric spaces. Students wishing to work with me in this area should know either the theory of globally symmetric spaces, such as covered in Helgason's book Differential Geometry, Lie Groups, and Symmetric Spaces, or the basics of the representation theory of semisimple Lie groups, such as covered in the first 8 chapters of Knapp's Representation Theory of Semisimple Groups.
