We have several projects in the works. Here are a few:
We are asking you to join Wyandotte residents in petitioning Wyandotte City Council to request that the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) and EGLE share their assessment of the feasibility and associated costs of connecting Wyandotte to GLWA.
This Health Assessment was requested by a group of 5 local organizations. This study will evaluate community exposure to mercury, benzene, and PFAS from historical and ongoing discharges at the BASF Wyandotte facility.
We have created this survey to learn more about how Wyandotte residents feel about the issues surrounding 50 years of pollution into the Detroit River. Participation in the survey is voluntary. Individual responses will not be shared with anyone outside of the Southeast Michigan Advocates for Community Knowledge (SMACK) organization. SMACK may share summarizations of de-identified data.
Pollinator habitat restoration efforts accomplished by:
providing native plant and polinator information
hosting a seed library
initiating the development of butterfly waystations
Advocating on behalf of the Detroit River.
