Courage on Canvas
Courage on Canvas is a transformative art initiative by Hopeful Horizons, designed to empower foster care children by helping them express their personal journeys through art. In partnership with The Core Collective at Saint Vincent and the Saint Louis Art Museum, this project provides a safe and creative space where children can translate their experiences into meaningful artwork.
Each week, our volunteers work closely with the children, guiding them through the artistic process and encouraging self-expression. At the end of the semester, their creations will be displayed in a special exhibition at the Saint Louis Art Museum, offering them a powerful platform to share their stories with the broader community.
Through Courage on Canvas, we aim to foster resilience, confidence, and healing, while also raising awareness about the realities of foster care. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring these young artists feel supported and inspired throughout the process.
