The children's book The Great Pumpkin Rescue

written by Robert Ross Parker and illustrated by Rebecca Scheckman

That young Amy is clever, she’s smart and she’s tough,

She’s got steely strong nerves and won’t take any guff.

But the thing that young Amy was famous for farming,

Was pumpkins so big as to be quite alarming!

But when Amy’s prize pumpkin patch, and then the whole valley, is washed out by a flash flood, she and her Pa must suddenly scramble to the roof to evade the rising waters. Only to discover. . .

The flood had so flooded the valley with water,

Our heroes were stranded, marooned, Pa and daughter.
Only a quick thinking, outlandish plan can save them, their neighbors, and a whole menagerie of animals.  And Amy may just have that kind of plan handy. . .

A read-aloud rhyming adventure featuring lush, hand drawn illustrations.
