Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:00am and lasts about one hour. We open with a brief time of welcome and announcements, followed by worship through song, a children’s message, Scripture reading, and prayer. After this, our pastor shares a 30‑minute sermon. His messages are biblically grounded, engaging, and thoughtfully challenging.
“Do I need to come in a suit and tie?”
Not at all. People who worship with us dress in a range of styles—from casual to more formal. Wear what’s comfortable for you, while still fitting for a worship gathering. What matters most is coming with a heart ready to worship God and a readiness to hear from Him through His Word.
That each person who attends Slinger Community Church will find themselves being drawn closer to the Lord Jesus Christ.
That God will lead us to ministries that are well-aligned with what He has for us during this season of ministry.
That God will raise up laborers for the harvest - people who love the Lord and are seeking ways to serve in the Kingdom of God. (Read Luke 10:1-2).
That men and women, boys and girls will experience God's salvation - offered through the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a congregation, we have a deep appreciation for traditional Christian hymns. We are blessed with several gifted pianists who use their talents to glorify the Lord. Arriving a few minutes early will allow you to enjoy our piano and handbell prelude.
We are also seeking to make greater use of our church organ. We are praying that the Lord will provide an experienced organist to join our ministry of music and worship.
At this time, we do not offer childcare or nursery. However, we love having young families in our services—they truly brighten our day.
As our congregation grows, we trust that God will guide us in how to best care for and minister to everyone, from the youngest to the oldest.
Fellowship Time
Immediately following the worship service, we enjoy an informal time of fellowship with coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall. Come for the sermon—stay for the coffee! 🙂
To Our Introvert Friends
We understand that large groups and new settings can feel overwhelming, so we won’t single you out or ask you to do anything that puts you on the spot. You’re free to participate quietly and at your own pace. Slip in, slip out - it is OK. We’re genuinely glad you’re here.
Beginning Sunday, September 20, 2026, a Discipleship Class will be offered. The class will run from 9:00am to 9:45am and take place in the Sanctuary. The class is open to all who appreciate a simple verse-by-verse exploration of the Word of God.
The class will be taught by Al Spiegel.
We will study the New Testament book of Ephesians.
Individuals interested in membership at Slinger Community Church are strongly encouraged to attend.
Participants are also strongly encouraged to bring a paper Bible - one in which you can write notes.
