Welcome and thank you for taking time to visit our website! Slinger Community Church is a small and friendly congregation that is in the process of revitalizing, rebuilding, and returning to the authority of Scripture.

Jesus Christ said, "I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). We believe this to be true, but we recognize that it will only happen if we are faithful to His Word, the Bible.

The Bible must be our ultimate guide for what we believe (our faith) and what we do (our practice). The Bible indeed is God-breathed and all of it is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Furthermore, the Bible is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). What this means is that the Bible trumps man’s authority, church tradition, and our own opinions. It also means that we must not allow anything that opposes God’s Word to dictate our actions or control our thinking.  

It is our desire that each one of us here at Slinger Community Church would continue to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. For this to happen, the Christian life needs to consist of more than a once per week event. The world is relentless in its work to conform us to its thinking and so to counteract this, we must seek to be transformed by the daily renewal of our minds through God’s Word (Romans 12:2). We are not citizens of this world, but of heaven (Philippians 3:20) and so we must set our minds on the things above and not the things on this earth (Colossians 3:2). If we do this, God will be glorified and lives will be eternally changed.
