Editing the show

Editing the show

Here's a video of the lesson outlined below:

1. Find Final Cut Pro in the Applications folder, drag it to your dock, and start it up.

2. File > New > Event to create a new event and be sure to click on Create new project.

3. Name the event and check Create New Project. Then click OK.

4. Go to SLAMA and Find the Broadcasting Class folder. Drag the folder to your desktop and open it.

5. Drag the files in the folder to Final Cut Pro.

6. Drag the AM Show Take 3 to the timeline. Drag the song under it.

7. Turn the volume down on the song so it doesn't over power the people and turn the people up if you need to. Be sure not to turn people up so far that the peaks turn red. (Some tips of peaks can be red but not the majority of them)

Use the spacebar to Play or Pause.

Use Command + to zoom into the timeline

Use Command - to zoom out.

8. Use the Blade tool (B Key) to cut the video after the homecoming dates are mentioned. Then drop the homecoming graphic into the cut. Press the A key or choose Select to go back to the selection tool so you can continue editing.

9. Put the graphics on top of the timeline so they show when they are being talked about.

10. Drag AM Show Open to the beginning of the timeline and drop it when everything moves over. This is the show opening sequence.

When you're done:

Next is File>Share > Master File

Click the settings tab and select H264 for the video codec

Be sure to put your name in the filename.

Save it to your desktop and then go to SLAMA/Broadcasting Class and put your video in the AM Show Edit here folder.
