Economics and Personal Finance (EPF)
EPF is a graduation requirement. Legislation passed by the 2010 General Assembly requires one additional credit in economics and personal finance to be completed prior to graduation. This additional course is required for the Standard and Advanced Studies Diplomas. Students may not “test out” of the graduation requirement.

EPF: If students are taking the class to fulfill the EPF requirement they should be aware that there is about 40 hours of work outside of class time to complete the EPF requirement and they need to be prepared for the IB-level of work

Students must be available to attend weekly, live-online class sessions during the evenings one night a week. Times are announced after student orientation.
Face to face exams are mandatory, and attendance is required.

This course is pass-fail only. The final grade will be determined based on the results of the 144 Exit Tickets, 14 Module Tests, and a Final Exam.
Students must be self-motivated and able to fulfill the requirements without a teacher to explain, direct and assist with studies. A suggested schedule will be provided. Students who do not stay on schedule will not be penalized in grading but students, parents, and the school will be notified.
