Grading Policy
Each assignment in my class receives a point value. These values vary depending on the assignment or assessment. For interactive notebooks, projects, and homework students will be given rubrics that detail the requirements. Student’s grades will be weighted in my class and the percent breakdowns are indicated below:
Grading Scale
A 100% - 89.5%, B 89.4% - 79.5%, C 79.4% - 69.5%, D 69.4% - 59.5%, F 59.4% and below
Homework
Homework will be assigned for each of the math courses almost daily. I will try to keep homework on the weekends to a minimum and I will not assign homework during school holidays. Each homework assignment will be checked by students at the beginning of class and then checked later by the teacher. No late homework is accepted unless student has an excused absence. If a student is absent they need to find out what they missed using the homework website and complete all assignments in the same number of days as the duration of their absence. If a time extension is needed on homework student must speak to me or email me before the homework deadline.

Classroom Expectations
Be Positive
Come to class with a positive and ethical mindset. Making mistakes is a way of life, so maintain a positive outlook to overcome those adversities. Be an active participant in your own learning. Know how and when to ask for help if necessary. Having a positive growth mindset will increase your level of success.
Be Polite
Respect the classroom and learning environment: encourage others with your actions and words; always try to do and be your best; do not damage the supplies and equipment in class; clean up after yourself; push in your chair; use appropriate language; use appropriate noise levels; and follow instructions.
Be Prepared
Maintain an excellent class binder, record and complete homework assignments, keep organized, check grades online, complete all assignments, participate in class activities, and study for assessments. All students need their materials daily: binders, calculators, rulers, paper, and pencils. Complete all assignments. Study for assessments.
Be Prompt
Arrive to class on-time on a daily basis. Have homework and class materials ready before the tardy bell to ensure success from bell to bell. Come to class hungry for knowledge, and with a desire to learn.
