What's going on at the Centre? Quite a lot really.
Mike took the filing cabinet down to his car port for us to sort through. I don't think either of us realized just what a job that would be.
It took about four sessions with Mike, David and myself (socially distancing, of course) to sort through everything and there were piles all over the table. Throw out, keep, not sure, these grew and were shuffled about, things moved to a different place then put back to the original place. I think we ended up with three black bags full of rubbish, boy it needed doing.
We were also introduced to Helen and Kevin Rees who both have vast experience of museums, working in big museums, and we are hoping to pick their brains and get advice on how we can improve some things.
I have also been compiling a file on the Covid 19 pandemic, a daily time-line on each development as it happened in Britain and a parallel one for Scotland to compare the difference in the handling of things. As you can imagine, it's getting thick. Hopefully it will be of some use to people in the future to have this record.
