【演出簡介】

在一座小島上，住著一位孤獨的老人，整日躲在家，他的家像是霍爾的移動城堡一般收藏著各式各樣的器具物品，沒有人曉得他過去的日子是什麼樣子，甚至已經很久沒有人看到過他的身影。

這天，門鈴響了，來了一位意外的訪客——阿呆，打破老人百無聊賴的生活。

「啊！不行！那個東西不行玩啊！那是我的寶貝啊！」

阿呆掀開了老人藏在屋中的秘密，想起曾經有過翱翔天際的夢，但那個夢後來怎麼了？我為什麼沒有繼續飛行了呢？

《你欲泅去佗位？》是斜槓青年創作體於 2020 年創作的無語言系列作品，故事發想自一則真實的偷飛機事件——2018 年美國西雅圖塔科馬機場，一名航空公司地勤理查（Richard）偷走一架空客機，並在起飛九十分鐘後墜毀。

作品於 2020 年首次製作，呈現為三十分鐘的初次創作小品。在這次嘗試中，我們實驗了光影偶、執頭偶與默劇肢體，試圖在表演語彙上探索新的可能，建立與觀眾之間既溝通又玩耍的舞台關係。

於 2023、2024 年，作品推出正式劇場完整版的六十分鐘演出，並走訪台南、屏東、花蓮三地，將此作品帶去與不同的觀眾分享。

2025 年，《你欲泅去佗位？》參與愛丁堡藝穗節—台灣季，我們也再度將作品改版為更貼近觀眾的小劇場版本，以更近距離的觀演關係與全新的舞台設計概念，前往愛丁堡藝術節與英國 Bradford Festival 演出。

在愛丁堡的演出中，我們意外發現觀眾群除了親子家庭外，也有許多高齡長者前來觀賞。演出結束後，他們也給予團隊許多真摯的回饋。這些交流讓我們更加確信：當語言被放下後，身體、光影與情感之間仍能產生最真實、最直接的互動。我們希望未來能繼續將這份能量帶給更多不同的觀眾。

【Production Synopsis】

On a small island, there lived a lonely old man who spent his days hiding in his home. His house was like Howl's Moving Castle, filled with all sorts of tools and items. No one knew what his past life was like, and it had been a long time since anyone had seen him.

One day, the doorbell rang, and an unexpected visitor arrived—Ah-Dai, who disrupted the old man's dull and monotonous life.
"Ah! No! You can't play with that! It's my treasure!"
Ah-Dai uncovered a secret the old man had hidden in his home, and the old man began to recall a dream he once had of soaring through the skies. But what happened to that dream? Why did I stop flying?

Ｗhale, Where are You Going?  is a non-verbal series created by S. Production collective in 2020. The story was inspired by a real-life incident involving the theft of an airplane—In 2018, at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, ground crew member Richard stole an Airbus plane and crashed it ninety minutes after takeoff. 

The piece was first developed in 2020 as a 30-minute experimental work-in-progress. In this initial creation, the team explored light and shadow puppetry, Table-top puppet, and physical theatre, searching for new performative vocabularies and experimenting with a stage relationship that both communicates and plays with the audience.

In 2023 and 2024, the work was expanded into a full-length 60-minute theatrical production and toured Tainan, Pingtung, and Hualien, sharing the piece with audiences in different regions of Taiwan.

In 2025, Whale, Where Are You Going? was presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of the Taiwan Season. For this occasion, the work was reimagined once again as an intimate black-box theatre version, featuring a closer performer–audience relationship and a newly developed stage design. The production was performed in both Edinburgh and at the Bradford 2025 in the UK.

During the Edinburgh Festival, we were surprised to find that the audience extended beyond families with children to include many elderly spectators. After the performances, they offered heartfelt and sincere feedback. These encounters reaffirmed our belief that when language is set aside, the body, light and shadow, and emotion can still generate the most direct and genuine forms of connection. We hope to continue carrying this energy to audiences in many different contexts in the future.
