Members of the workshop who have completed Steps 1-3 in SLAA HOW are strongly encouraged to continue being part of this incredible community. There are MANY ways to give back that support the workshop while strengthening your own recovery. Opportunities include the following:

💘 Being a Sponsor to a new workshop member  sign up | next round

A gentle reminder that sponsors are not required to make a financial contribution each round. Contributions are always voluntary and are never a requirement for becoming or serving as a sponsor. Thank you for your service to others!

💘 Attending the Weekly Service Superstars Meeting!
We meet 1hr prior to the workshop meeting in the same zoom room.

💘 Take on a weekly role
These roles include:

📖 Happy Reader Leader – reads the meeting script and helps set the tone.

💻 Zoom Guru – shares the weekly prayers and assorted readings.

🕶️ Breakout Room Dancer – puts on their virtual sunglasses and queues up the breakout rooms for sharing.

🦙 No Drama Llama(s) – helps keep our meeting safe and ensures anonymity is always respected.

🚗 Super Fun Parking Lot Attendant – looks after the after-meeting fellowship and connection time.

🪄 Service Wizard – waves their magic wand and helps gets us organised during our weekly service superstar meeting.

📝  Service Secretary – Note taking on agenda items during the weekly service superstars meeting.

Together, these roles help create the warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere that makes our workshop so special! ✨

🌟 Service Beyond the Weekly Service Superstars Committee

We have two dedicated committees that carry out much of the ongoing service work and help bring the SLAA HOW Workshop to life.

🧙 Planning Wizards

The Planning Wizards focus on the operational and community-support side of the workshop. Their service includes:

📊 Workshop Presentation Updates – maintaining, improving, and refreshing workshop presentation materials to keep them engaging and relevant.

📧 Email Committee – responding to enquiries, supporting members, and helping keep everyone informed throughout the workshop journey.

📱 WhatsApp Group (WAG) Administration – supporting our online community, welcoming new members, and helping keep our groups organised and running smoothly.

🌐 Website Wizards

The Website Wizards focus on outreach, content creation, and sharing the message of recovery with the wider fellowship.

💘 Guest Speakers & SLAA Radio – sourcing guest speakers from both workshop alumni and the wider fellowship to bring unique perspectives to each Step and special topic. We are always looking for members willing to share their experience, strength, and hope through recordings for our website and SLAA Radio.

📣 "Attraction, Not Promotion" Materials – creating flyers, social media content, website resources, and other outreach materials to help carry the message of recovery.
