Lakewood Support Network

In summer 2019, a group of neighbors formed the Lakewood Support Network with the aim of finding ways that we might cooperatively help each other as we "age in place" in the Sister Lakes neighborhoods. We have explored mutual support in terms of supporting each other with meals or other concrete help during periods of need, sharing information and resources, navigating formal systems of service, and just making connections and sustaining relationships. Before the pandemic and its restrictions, we met monthly at Westgate Library for meetings and coffee hours. These initial meetings helped us to understand that, among other things, there was a need to get the Sister Lakes Board up and running again, and we are delighted that the Board is now up and running!
