League Policy

Season Schedule

• The Spring 2024 Straight Pool Season spans 10 weeks of regular play.

• This is followed by 3 weeks of Playoffs.
  
  

Fees

• Registration Fee: $100, due one week before the season begins.

  • This fee covers the league fees for the final four matches of the regular season.

• Weekly Green Fee: $25 per player, paid each match day.
  
  

Match Format

• Each match lasts approximately 3 hours.

• All games are governed by the official Straight Pool rules of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA).
  
  

Standings

• Overall standings are based solely on win/loss record.

Tie-Breaker Policy: If two or more players are tied in the standings at the end of the regular season, their final placement will be determined by a tie-breaker tournament.

End of Match Procedures

• At the conclusion of your match:

  • Complete the score sheet accurately.
    
    

  • Deposit your league fees into the provided envelope.
    
    

Match Start Times & Late Policy

• Matches begin according to the posted weekly schedule on the league website.

• Players are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled match.

• Late Penalty System:

  • For every 10 minutes a player is late, their opponent is awarded 5 points.

  • Points are added before the match begins, and the match proceeds with the adjusted score.

  • If a player is 30 minutes late or fails to appear, the League Director may declare a forfeit.

Practice Time

• Players may arrive early for practice.

• Up to 1 hour of free practice time is allowed before your scheduled match.

• Any additional practice time is billed at the regular table rate.
  
  

Pace of Play

• To ensure matches finish on time, players must limit themselves to 45 seconds per shot.

Our league exists to promote fun, camaraderie, and respect.
