The Bluffdale fire department first began as a volunteer fire department. The fire equipment was stored on private property until the first fire station was built on Redwood Road. Chief Roberts was the first full-time Fire Chief beginning in 2012. Fire station No. 1 at 14350 S 2200 West was built in 2005. Fire station No. 2 at 14395 S Noell Nelson Dr was built in 2018.
