Costs and Fees

📝 Official Notary Public Fees in Pennsylvania

As established by the Pennsylvania Department of State, notaries public are authorized to charge the following maximum fees for notarial acts: 

• Taking an acknowledgment: $5.00
  Each additional name on the acknowledgment: $2.00
  
  

• Administering an oath or affirmation (per individual): $5.00
  
  

• Taking a verification on oath or affirmation: $5.00
  
  

• Witnessing or attesting a signature (per signature): $5.00
  
  

• Certifying or attesting a copy or deposition (per certified copy): $5.00
  
  

• Noting a protest of a negotiable instrument (per page): $3.00
  
  

These fees are mandated by state law and must not be exceeded. Notaries are required to display their fee schedule conspicuously at their place of business or provide it upon request.

🚗 Mobile / Travel Notary Fees

As a mobile notary, I bring notary services directly to you — whether at your home, office, hospital, or public location. In addition to standard notary fees set by Pennsylvania law, a separate travel fee applies based on distance and time.

📍 Travel Fee Guidelines:

• Local Service Area (within 10 miles of Bristol, PA 19007): $20 flat fee
  
  

• Extended Service Area (10–20 miles): $20–$50
  
  

• Outside 20 miles: Quoted individually based on location and availability
  
  

• After-hours (5pm-10pm), holidays (All observed banking holidays), or urgent appointments (1 hour notice): Additional $10–$25
  
  

💡 Travel fees are always quoted upfront and agreed upon before confirming your appointment.

Note: Travel fees are separate from the state-regulated notary fees and are not governed by the PA Department of State. 

🛠️ Additional Service Fees

• 📄 Document Preparation: $15–$25 per document
  (For simple custom forms such as affidavits, travel consent letters, or POAs. Legal advice is not provided.)
  
  

• 🖨️ Copying/Printing: $0.50 per page
  (For photocopies, printouts, or duplicate copies of notarized documents.)
  
  

• 📬 Postage & Handling: $5–$10
  (For mailing completed documents via USPS; includes envelope, label, and tracking. Rush or overnight available at cost.)
