Moreno
Trent & Terry Allen
I had the honor of photographing two Athens legends in an equally well known restaurant, ZZ and Simone's, during a shoot that I co-directed. Terry was photographing the owners of the restaurant, Ryan and Shae Sims, for a partnership, but we invited his brother in for a photo as well. He lent me his camera so that I could capture them in their coats made from the same fabric.
I created a carousel and caption to post to instagram pulling from both of their exciting careers.

Two brothers, shaped by the same place, expressed through different disciplines.
Trent Allen came of age in Athens during the mid 1980s, when the city was quietly becoming one of the most influential music communities in the country. As bassist for Dreams So Real, he helped define a chapter of Athens guitar pop, recording music produced by Peter Buck, releasing albums on a major label, and contributing to a scene where collaboration mattered more than spotlight. It was a time when bands shared bills, favors, and momentum, and Trent was part of its rhythm.
At the same time, his brother Terry was documenting that very world from behind a camera and helping guide it from the inside. While building his reputation as a photographer, Terry also managed Dreams So Real, tying his work directly to the music, the people, and the momentum of the scene. What began as curiosity turned into access, then trust. Terry photographed bands across Athens during an era when artists looked out for one another, musicians, photographers, designers all trading work, building something collectively.
Terry’s career would go on to span decades and continents, from iconic music imagery to internationally respected work in fine sporting and advertising photography, while remaining rooted in Athens.
In this image, they wear different coats cut from the same pinstripe fabric.
Same cloth. Different paths. A shared history, worn their own way.
Moreno's brand image is closely tied to to travel, fast cars, and all things vintage. For this post, I laid out souvenirs from my time abroad along with a Moreno backpack. It was a collection of items that represented the idea of the person the brand was based on.
