Learning Resource Center

       S.K.Patil Sindhudurg Mahavidyalaya, Malvan is established in 1965. The Library at S.K.Patil Sindhudurg Mahavidyalaya truly lives up to its name of  ‘Learning Resource Center’ by providing a variety of information resources for Teaching, Learning & Research. The library possesses both print & e-resources to satisfy the information needs of its users, i.e. staff, Students, and members of society. The library collection comprises of books, periodicals, Previous Question Papers, CDs & geographical resources. In-house operations of the library are automated through Vidyasagr Library Software. The Library has a subscription to the  N-LIST e-resource database (by UGC - INFLIBNET), through which students & teachers can access many electronic resources like full-text of more than 6000+ e-journals and 1,95,000+ e-books. Students are provided with 04 computers in the library with internet facilities for their study & research purpose.  In addition to this, Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided to the Faculty. The library also has two types of book bank facilities for the students first is for needy and economically weak students. The second  Book-bank scheme is for sc/st/dt/nt students. The online catalog of the library, ‘Web OPAC’ enables users to search for resources available in the library.  Digital Repository created by the library offers access to past year's question papers, syllabus, projects, faculty research output & other online resources. To inculcate good reading habits among the students, various events like Book Review Competitions, Book Displays, Guest Lectures, General Knowledge Competitions, Books talks, etc. are arranged by the library. Every year the library conducts Book Exhibition/Display on various occasions. The library conducts orientation programs & library awareness programs on a regular basis. Apart from this, the library provides a variety of services to its users.  ‘Best Library Reader Award is given every year during the college Annual Day function.
