This new primary school welcomed its first students in September 2009.
It was the first school which was capable of generating its own electricity. This was due to the fact that it was equipped with photovoltaic panels, solar water heaters and tubular day lighting units.
This school has a dedicated reservoir to collect rainwater from the roofs. This second class water is used for flushing water cisterns and cleaning purposes. Rainwater for irrigation is collected in a separate reservoir from the internal yard and the school playgrounds.
This school is built on two storeys and it is fully accessible for students with special needs. Moreover, the internal yard is covered with rubber safety flooring to ensure that students have a safe environment.
