The DILG LYGRC serves as a hub for acquiring, storing, retrieving, creating, sharing, using, and evaluating knowledge related to local youth governance. It ensures that explicit and tacit knowledge is systematically managed to achieve organizational goals and enhance the performance of SK officials.
It promotes the belief that no single entity has a monopoly on knowledge. It encourages the sharing and use of information to promote efficiency, effectiveness, learning, and innovation in local youth governance. By fostering strengthening systems, networks and partnerships, the SK LGRC builds a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among SK officials and other stakeholders.
The DILG LYGRC reflects DILG Cavite’s commitment to sustaining and enriching knowledge management and sharing through its Knowledge Management (KM) Framework of ownership, co-ownership, and co-creation. It provides a platform for continuous learning and sharing about pertinent laws, national policies, and local government initiatives, thereby supporting the SK in their mission to promote peace, order, and public safety in their communities
Recognizing the need for a clear framework to monitor and evaluate the performance of the Sangguniang Kabataan and for an established rewards and recognition system for the active role they play as partners in nation building, DILG Cavite has spearheaded the Cavite Seal of Good Local Youth Governance (CSGLYG) Awards.
This initiative, patterned to the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) and Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB), evaluates SK performance on four areas: (1) Organizational Sustainability, (2) Financial Administration, (3) Plans, Policies and Budget and (4) Accomplishments.

In observance of the 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the online learning activity focused on live and interactive discussion on flagship programs on anti-illegal drugs campaign for the youth level-off their knowledge on the provisions of DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-069 and provide them shared experiences on how youth leaders can promote and support the BIDA para sa Kabataan under the BIDA Program.
