Specifically, deep learning based big data analysis for biotherapeutical applications and biomanufacturing processes;
Gut, skin, oral, soil, and food microbiome and (synthetic-)microbial community modeling for health, environment, biotechnological and cosmetic applications

During the visit, both teams engaged in in-depth discussions on potential joint research projects and future collaboration opportunities.

제3회 ESACT 동물 세포 대사 및 생물공정 모델링 과정이 2025년 10월 12일부터 16일까지 스페인 라 프랑에서 성공적으로 개최되었습니다. 본 과정은 이동엽 교수(성균관대학교), Ioscani Jiménez del Val 교수(University College Dublin, 아일랜드)와의 Emma Petiot 박사(Université de Lyon, 프랑스)가 공동으로 조직하였습니다. 참가자들은 동물 세포의 대사 활동 및 바이오 공정을 모델링 기술을 기반으로 이해하고 응용하기 위해 대사 모델링, kinetic 모델링, 하이브리드 모델링, 공정 분석 기술을 위한 화학적 모델링 및 다중오믹스 데이터 분석 등의 핵심적인 모델링 기술을 학습하였습니다.

The 3rd Metabolic and Bioprocess Modelling for Animal Cells Course 2025, coordinated by Prof. Dong-Yup Lee (Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea), Prof. Ioscani Jiménez del Val (University College Dublin, Ireland), and Dr. Emma Petiot (Université de Lyon, France), successfully took place from October 12-16, 2025, in Llafranc, Spain. Participants had the opportunity to learn key modeling techniques such as metabolic modeling, kinetic modeling, hybrid modeling, chemical modeling for process analysis, and multi-omics data analysis, in order to understand and apply the metabolic activities of animal cells and bioprocesses based on modeling technologies.
