Opening "Come and Try It" session at Craven Leisure Centre pool Skipton. I don't know who tried it out, or who came back the next week, but Dave Colley got it all to happen and was helped on the night by 2 other experienced players from Halifax : Alan Stansfield and Lewis Saleem.
In the following couple of years the team took part in the Yorkshire League, several friendlies and I believe at least one national tournament.

For the first time a Duck came through from the junior team to play in a tournament - Josh aged 17 was a valued member of the team

Skipton Ducks went to Leeds for a friendly. Simon from Leeds organised the pool of players into 3 teams Sharks, Orcas and Barracudas and we played a mini-tournament. Well done Sharks for winning - you know who you are. It was a great night out and the Ducks are very grateful to Leeds for inviting us.
Skipton Ducks competed at the Nautilus tournament at Pond's Forge, Sheffield. Team comprised Dave (Captain), Daryl (Vice Captain), Andy, Becky, Daniel, Graeme, Mike, Jim, Reece, Tom and Ryan. We came 5th in the 6th division. Daniel and Becky were voted players of the day., well done both.
Skipton Juniors went to the BOA Junior National Tournament to play for the Yorkshire team and the Northern team. The following results have been copied from the BOA website.

Nautilus 2023 it was a tough day and personally I think our expectations were higher than our ability, we played our best which was better than last year but we were up against some well drilled and experienced teams. I was particularly impressed with our young players Molly and Oliver they were amazing holding their own against some big blokes. Onwards and upwards ducks 💪🦆
Special mention to Daniel who not only played in his first 3m tournament for yorkshire C but came away with a gold medal and highest goal scorer in division 4, amazing achievement well done 👏 -- David Colley Captain
