SkillSwap is a community-driven website where teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder can share their hobbies and skills through pre-recorded videos on our YouTube channel, called SkillSwap.
The Video Approval Form includes where we will ask for parental consent. Here’s how the Video Approval Form works:
You and your teen will fill out basic information.
If your teen is under 18, you will be required to fill out and submit a Parental Consent form.
Your teen will be required to fill out a Code of Conduct form.
Once you and your teen sign the forms and submit the Video Approval Form, we will get back to your teen with an email letting them know that their idea has been approved.
Your teen can then submit videos for review once a form is sent back to you via the email you included in the form.
Our platform features privacy controls and moderation practices to safeguard the privacy and well-being of every teen participant.
Parental consent is required for all users under 18
No personal identifying information is shown in videos
All videos are reviewed by administrators before being published
Optional on-camera participation — teens can create content using slides, voiceovers, or hands-on demos without showing their face
Content must follow our strict community guidelines
