Upon arrival at the school, the advisor(s) and student competitors will check-in at Headquarters.
Competitors will be given their COMPETITOR ID BADGE for their competition and directions on where to report to their competition for attendance. Student Officers will be on hand to assist with escorting students to their competition location and conducting a brief clothing check. (No logo/mascot to identify town on clothing, jackets, hats, etc)
Advisors can mingle in the hallway outside the competition area or visit the hospitality room. Absolutely no advisors are allowed in the competition area.
When competitors arrive at the competition room, they will be greeted by the Contest Coordinator (teacher for that program) and will be given instructions on where to sit/wait until all competitors have arrived.
Contest will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and should be finished by 1:30 p.m.
Before students leave their competition area, they will need to check-out with the Contest Coordinator who will collect their Competitor ID badge.
Students may wait in the holding area when they are finished competing if it is not time for their bus to leave. There may be activities/games setup for students to pass the time.
Under no circumstances can a student re-enter the competition room to “watch” other competitors.
Judges and Contest Proctors will check-in at Headquarters to pick up a credential badge and judging packet. Judges then can report to the contest area to meet with the Contest Coordinator (teacher for that program).
Once judging is finished, the judge will return their judging packet with all papers & score sheets to Headquarters. There is no need to tally score sheets as the scores will be entered directly into the computer and it will perform the calculations.
