NYS SkillsUSA Area VII

The New York Association of SkillsUSA is a Career Technical Student Organization serving students in High School and College Post-Secondary. We are affiliated nationally with SkillsUSA.  SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel through opportunities, challenges and recognition. 

Area VII has partnered with local industry, military units and DoDEA schools to create a Professional Learning Community of shared interests and goals designed to attract, educate and recognize the champion within all students.

SkillsUSA's mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.

The sixth annual Regional SkillsUSA event is designed to challenge DoDEA high school students in a range of Career and Technical occupations.  The majority of contests are held virtually and prizes are awarded to the top three winners of each contest.

All participants will receive competition certificates.  The 2023 SkillUSA Champions will additionally receive medals and cash prizes - all courtesy of AFCEA Chapter 158.
