Privacy Policy for SketchLab

I built SketchLab with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data the app interacts with and, just as importantly, what it does not collect.

No account required
SketchLab does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.

Photos
When you choose a photo to turn into a drawing, SketchLab uses Apple's built-in photo picker, which lets you select a photo without granting the app access to your full photo library. SketchLab only sees the specific photo you choose.

If you use the download/export feature, SketchLab requests permission to save images to your Photos app. This permission is used solely to save your finished sketches and drawings to your device — nothing is uploaded or shared anywhere else.

Camera
If you use the live camera tracing feature, SketchLab requests permission to access your camera. The camera feed is used only to display a real-time preview on your screen while you trace — it is not recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.

On-device drawing coach
SketchLab's drawing coach runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device AI framework. No data about your drawings, photos, or usage is sent to any server to generate this feature.

Your projects and drawings
Your projects, drawings, and progress are saved locally on your device only. We do not have access to this content, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Purchases
SketchLab Pro is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). Purchase and transaction data is handled directly by Apple according to Apple's own privacy practices; we do not receive or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation of whether your purchase was successful, so the app can unlock the Pro features you paid for.

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking
SketchLab does not use any third-party analytics software, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, because we do not collect data to begin with.

Children's privacy
SketchLab does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes in the future, we'll update this page with a new "Last updated" date.
