Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
The short version
Sketch Diary does not collect, store or share any personal data.
There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Your drawings stay on your iPhone.
1. Who we are
Sketch Diary is an iPhone app made by Ankit Raj ("we", "us"). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at ankit.raj105@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
None. We do not collect, receive or have access to any information about you or how you use the app. The app does not include analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking tools from us or any third party.
3. Data stored on your device
Everything you create is saved only on your iPhone, inside the app's private storage:
your drawings and their small preview pictures
titles, notes and favourites
your settings, such as reminder time and drawing preferences
This data never leaves your device through Sketch Diary. We cannot see it, and nothing is uploaded to our servers. We don't have any servers.
4. Home-screen widget
The widget can show your latest drawing, your streak and whether you've drawn today. To do this, the app keeps a small copy of your latest drawing's preview and your streak in a shared space on your own iPhone that only Sketch Diary and its widget can read. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Your drawing will be visible on your home screen. If you'd rather keep it private, turn off Settings → Widget → Show last drawing. The widget will then show only your streak, and the stored preview is deleted.
5. Reminders
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent from a server. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.
6. Sharing
If you choose to share the app or a drawing, iOS opens its standard share sheet. What you share, and with whom, is entirely your choice and is handled by the app you share to.
7. Ratings and reviews
When you rate the app, Apple shows its own rating window. Any rating or review is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
8. Backups
Sketch Diary does not back up your drawings to any cloud service. Your iPhone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) may include the app's data. That is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
9. Deleting your data
To delete one sketch, long-press it on the home screen and choose Delete.
To delete older sketches in bulk, go to Settings → Storage → Delete old sketches.
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone, including the widget's copy.
10. Children's privacy
Sketch Diary does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
11. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version adds optional features that need data, such as cloud backup, we will explain them clearly here before they are released.
