This Privacy Policy explains how SketchCoach ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. SketchCoach is provided by Ashby Babu. If you have questions, contact us at dev.ashby.51@gmail.com.
By using SketchCoach, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name and email address. We use this to create and secure your account.
Sketches and reference images: When you request an analysis, the sketch and reference image you provide are sent to our processing service to generate feedback. We do not store these images on our servers — they are processed to produce your feedback and are not retained by us afterward (see "AI Analysis Processing" below). Your past analyses are saved locally on your device so you can review your history; they are not uploaded to us.
Usage and preferences: We store a small amount of account data needed to run the App, including your remaining credits, your subscription status, your coaching-tone preference, and whether you have completed onboarding.
Purchase information: When you buy a subscription or credits, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive a transaction identifier from Apple to grant your credits and verify your subscription. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles all payment information.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos library (beyond images you explicitly choose for analysis), or browsing history. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- To provide AI feedback on your sketches.
- To manage your account, credits, and subscription.
- To remember your preferences (such as coaching tone).
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations.
To generate feedback, the App sends your sketch and reference image to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) via their API. Anthropic processes the images to produce the analysis and, under Anthropic's commercial API terms, does not use this data to train its models. The images are transmitted securely and are not stored by us. Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by Anthropic's own privacy and usage policies, available at https://www.anthropic.com/legal.
We rely on the following providers to operate the App. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (authentication) and App Store purchases/subscriptions.
- Google Firebase — authentication, database (account/credit records), serverless functions, and App Check (app-integrity verification). Operated by Google.
- Anthropic — AI analysis of submitted images, as described above.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your account record, credits, and associated data from our systems. Analyses stored locally on your device are removed when you delete the App or clear them on-device.
Note: Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and must be cancelled in your Apple ID subscription settings.
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your information. App Check is used to help ensure that only the genuine SketchCoach app can access our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
SketchCoach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can exercise the right to deletion directly via the in-app Delete Account feature, or by contacting us at dev.ashby.51@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
