Visiting Skandia's Virtual Midsommarfest is free. However, we have facilities expenses for things like sanikans, garbage, supplies, and ongoing storage for all of our Midsommarfest materials so we can be ready for 2027. Total expenses for 2026 are about $9,200.
Where does the money come from?
The goal for pre-event individual donations in 2026 is $2,000. It helps that Skandia Folkdance Society is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit so contributions may be tax deductible depending on individual circumstances.
The goal for pre-event grants, organizations and business donations is $5,000 which includes performer groups and business matching programs.

Remaining funds come from donation box receipts at the event, flower crown sales, and vendor fees.
