These rates are for individual or private party events only. Business/Commercial Renters, including government entities and non-profit corporations, should view our "Renting by Business/Commercial" page. Note: Our published rates are lower for private party events, because the majority of those renters are local residents who have historically used and supported the Skamokawa Grange for family related events and we have recently implemented new event insurance requirements that will add cost to their rentals.
For rental information or to initiate a rental please call our Rental Coordinator: Becky Ledtke (360)795-3434

Event Insurance: As required by our insurance carrier, we require your rental to be covered by Event Insurance with a minimum $1M liability insurance coverage for property damage or bodily injury that could happen during your event. The policy must include Host Liquor Liability coverage if any alcohol is being served or consumed at any time during your rental and it must cover your entire stay on the property. Skamokawa Grange #425 must be listed as an additional insured on your event policy. Proof of your event liability insurance must be provided at least 7 days prior to your rental date. See 'Resources Links' at the bottom of this page for possible event insurance providers. (Linking to these does not constitute an endorsement of their services.)
Alcohol: If yes, an additional $50 fee will be added to your rental cost. Also, you will need a WA State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) special license or permit. In addition, your event insurance must include Host Liquor Liability Coverage (see event insurance above). Proof of WA state WSLCB permit/license and event insurance including Liquor Liability coverage must be provided to the Grange Contact 7 days prior to the event. No liquor license is to be obtained under the name of the Skamokawa Grange. All other requirements of the liquor license will be adhered to. Day of the event, the liquor permit/license will be posted at the entrance to the hall.
Kitchen: Our grange kitchen is not commercially certified, nor a Wahkiakum Health Department approved facility. This means if you plan to sell or serve food to the public at your event, you must obtain the appropriate permits and approvals from the Wahkiakum Health Department.
Our kitchen includes an electric 4 burner stove, refrigerator, microwave, small and large coffee makers and 3 sinks. There is no dishwasher. No grange supplies may be used, so plan to bring service and disposable supplies. Also, renters must carry away leftover food and all garbage for offsite disposal.
PA System: (Arrangements must be made in advance) We will provide a microphone and use of our PA system, along with a short orientation on how to use it for the renter. We also have a ceiling mounted 10' x 12' projection screen available for your use.
Tables and Chairs: The Grange has stacking padded chairs for up to 150 people that are included in your rental. We also have ten (10) 30”x8’ tables and several smaller folding tables that are available to use during your rental. Any chairs/tables used should be stacked and returned to their storage location.
Electricity: The Grange Contact is to be notified immediately should any electrical problems arise. The Renter is responsible for ensuring that proper safety procedures and techniques are employed when providing electrical power for stage, sound reinforcement, and lighting equipment.
Handicap parking is to the right of the front door (toward the fairgrounds entrance). Please make sure no one parks in front of the access gate to the handicap entrance. If the event anticipates use of the handicap door, please advise the Grange Contact so that the padlock can be opened.
Event Deposit: An event deposit of $50 is due in full when booking your rental. The deposit, along with the signed rental agreement, reserves your event date. Any damage to the grange must be reported to the Grange Contact. If additional cleaning or trash removal is required, that work will be performed at $25/hr and the Grange will keep all or part of the Event Deposit paid by the renter to cover that work. Your event deposit refund check will be issued by the Grange Treasurer after the Grange has been inspected.
Event Cancellation: Event cancellation must be received in writing or by a phone call to your event contact listed above, a minimum of one (1) week before the event date. This lets the Grange offer the date to other renters. If cancellation occurs with less than 1 week’s notice, the $50 Event Deposit will be forfeited.
